I’m obsessed with Stephanie Soo. There, I said it. I love all of her YouTube channels. I started watching Rotten mango, but baking a mystery, baking a murder (MissMangoButt) took all my heart.

Do you ever find yourself craving a good youtube video but have no idea what’s new? I hate that feeling. Logically, we know that the red platform contains millions of fun, engaging content. But sometimes it just feels like nothing… clicks.

Stephanie is the holy grail for me. She is a beautiful woman, but more than that, she speaks so eloquently that you can’t help but be transported by her words.

If you are one of their subscribers, congratulations, a very good choice for your free time.

If you are not (what are you doing), I will convince you to try her with the most shocking video trillers she has made. I mean, she’s certainly got more creepy stories than the ones I’ve mentioned, but these are the ones I’ve seen, the ones I’m sure will shock you as much as they surprised me.

I wasn’t expecting the twist, the turns, the open mouth… nothing. But I’ll stop rambling, here are the best psychological thriller films and books you can find.

Warning: After watching MissMangoButt, you may prefer to watch her talk about the movies rather than actually watch the movies. It happens to the best of us.

“Mine” kdrama

This baking a mystery made my head spin with all the names mentioned, but it is so interesting that it is worth it. If you like:

  • Rich and Messy Families
  • Family Secrets
  • Shocking revelations

You will love this video. Be warned though, from what I’ve seen, Stephanie only talked about the first few episodes, so if you want to see what happens next, you’ll have to watch the series (not that that’s a bad thing, but you know).

“Marry my husband” kdrama

My favorite baking a mistery of all time, my love. This kdrama has all my admiration and attention. Why is that? Well, if you are looking for:

  • Satisfying revenge
  • Suspense
  • Rich man with good girl romance

You’ll love Marry My Husband.

The plot is about a woman with cancer who finds out that her spoiled best friend and her useless husband are sleeping together. Not only that, they plan to kill her (the husband gave her cancer pills) and get rich on her life insurance.

This plan falls apart when she catches them cheating, and she dies as a result of being pushed by them.

The end.

Just kidding. This is the beginning.
Because she dies BUT THEN she wakes up in 2013, ten years before it all happened. For some reason she has a second chance at life and she has no intention of letting it go.

“Lost in the stars” movie

“Lost in the Starts” is an intentionally confusing Chinese mystery thriller. A man goes on vacation with his wife and all goes well until one day he runs to the authorities to report the disappearance of his love. The police just dismiss him, but that’s not the worst of it.

They make him feel crazy by saying things like “maybe she just left you”. But he knows the truth, at least he thinks so, until his wife comes back.

With a different face.

A different body.

A beautiful woman, but not his wife. Now he has to prove that the mysterious woman who acts like his wife, who has documents and memories to prove it, is lying. He doesn’t know her and just wants his love back.
Stephanie made me feel the impact of every single plot twist, I didn’t expect any of it Do you want to know how it ends?

“Never Lie” by Freida McFadden book

Never lie to your husband, especially if you are stuck with him in a remote mansion, in the middle of a storm, in the house of a missing psychiatrist.

That’s Trisha for you.

When she finds herself in this situation, she seems helpless.

The house is big, dark and scary, and these two have to stay there for at least two days before they can go home. The worst part? Something is wrong.

The house itself seems to be alive and Trisha feels as if she is being watched with every move she makes. When she finally finds a distraction, she and we, the readers, have the great opportunity to solve the huge mystery of the murdered therapist.

The plot is strange, unsettling, and a great choice for Baking a Mistery. If you like:

  • Having anxiety
  • Murder mysteries
  • Suspense

This is the Book for you.

“Hush” movie

One of the best psychological thrillers on Netflix. Hush is about a horror writer who lives in a remote part of the city. Alone.

One day, while she is doing her usual routine and talking to her sister, we, the viewers, see a masked man just outside her window.

The movie would be ordinary if it was just her trying to escape a killer in her house, but the thing becomes much more interesting when we learn that she is deaf.

The killer, who has already killed her best friend, wants to play with her and taste his victory at the end.

She, on the other hand, wants to try everything to survive.

Who will win this silent battle?

MissMangoButt video thrillers are the most interesting way to consume these fictional stories. If you like mystery, murder and crime. Run. Check it out.
